How to Make a Calendar
in Google Docs

Build a calendar in Google Docs using a simple table structure or by importing templates. Learn how to create a calendar for scheduling or organizing important dates in your document.

  1. Open Google Docs – Go to docs.google.com and open the document where you want to create the calendar.

  2. Click on “Insert” – From the top menu, click on “Insert” and then hover over “Table”.

  3. Select the Table Size – Choose a 7x6 table (7 columns for the days of the week and 6 rows for the weeks in a month).

  4. Label the Days of the Week – In the first row, type the days of the week: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday.

  5. Add Dates – Start filling in the table with the dates of the month, placing each number in the corresponding day column (e.g., if the 1st of the month is a Monday, place "1" under Monday).

  6. Customize the Table

    • Adjust the size of the cells to make them square-like by clicking and dragging the lines.

    • You can also bold or color the days of the week for better readability.

  7. Add Events or Notes (Optional) – If you want to mark specific dates, just type events or notes in the corresponding day’s cell (e.g., “Meeting” on the 5th).

  8. Done – Your calendar is now ready! You can further customize it with colors, borders, and more.
