This guide will walk you through the process of setting a virtual background on Zoom. Follow these step-by-step instructions to customize your Zoom background.
Open Zoom App – Launch the Zoom Desktop App or sign in on zoom.us if you're using the web version.
Join or Start a Meeting – Enter the Zoom meeting where you want to use a background.
Click on “Settings” – Before joining or after you join, click the gear icon (Settings) on the top-right of the Zoom window.
Go to “Background & Filters” – In the Settings menu, click on “Virtual Background” on the left sidebar.
Choose a Background – You’ll see pre-loaded backgrounds. Click on one to set it as your background.
Upload Your Own Background –
Click on the “+” icon to upload a custom image or video from your computer.
Make sure the image or video file is high-quality for the best results.
Enable “I Have a Green Screen” (Optional) – If you have a physical green screen behind you, check the box “I have a green screen” for better background effects.
