How to Share Screen in Zoom

This guide will walk you through the steps to share your screen during a Zoom meeting. Screen sharing is a useful feature that allows you to present your screen to other participants, which is ideal for presentations, demonstrations, and collaborative work.

  1. Join or Start a Zoom Meeting – Open the Zoom app or browser and enter your meeting.

  2. Click on “Share Screen” – On the bottom toolbar, click the green “Share Screen” button.

  3. Select What to Share – Choose from:

    • Entire Screen

    • Specific Window

    • Browser Tab

    • Whiteboard (for drawing or notes)

  4. Enable Sound (Optional) – If sharing a video with audio, tick “Share sound” at the bottom-left before clicking share.

  5. Click “Share” – After selecting what to share, hit the blue “Share” button.

  6. Use Toolbar During Sharing – You’ll see options like:

    • Pause Share

    • Annotate

    • Stop Share

    • Mute/Unmute

  7. Stop Sharing – When done, click the red “Stop Share” button on the top toolbar.

  8. Done – Your screen share is complete! Zoom will return to the normal meeting view.
