How to Host a Zoom Meeting
Follow these simple steps to host a Zoom meeting with video on. This guide will walk you through each step, ensuring you can start your meeting quickly and easily.
Open Zoom App or Website – Sign in to your Zoom account using the Zoom Desktop App or zoom.us.
Click on “New Meeting” – On the home screen, click the orange camera icon labeled “New Meeting” to start a meeting instantly.
Turn On Video/Audio (Optional) – Choose whether you want to start the meeting with video and microphone on or off.
Invite Participants –
Click on “Participants” → “Invite”
Copy the meeting link or ID and share via email, WhatsApp, or chat.
Manage the Meeting – As the host, you can:
Mute/unmute anyone
Lock the meeting
Enable Waiting Room
Allow/disallow screen sharing
Use In-Meeting Features –
Chat box
Share screen
Reactions
Use Whiteboard or Breakout Rooms (optional)
Record the Meeting (Optional) – Click “Record” to save the session locally or to the cloud (if available).
End the Meeting – When done, click “End” > “End Meeting for All” to close the session properly.
