How to Host a Zoom Meeting

Follow these simple steps to host a Zoom meeting with video on. This guide will walk you through each step, ensuring you can start your meeting quickly and easily.

  1. Open Zoom App or Website – Sign in to your Zoom account using the Zoom Desktop App or zoom.us.

  2. Click on “New Meeting” – On the home screen, click the orange camera icon labeled “New Meeting” to start a meeting instantly.

  3. Turn On Video/Audio (Optional) – Choose whether you want to start the meeting with video and microphone on or off.

  4. Invite Participants

    • Click on “Participants” → “Invite”

    • Copy the meeting link or ID and share via email, WhatsApp, or chat.

  5. Manage the Meeting – As the host, you can:

    • Mute/unmute anyone

    • Lock the meeting

    • Enable Waiting Room

    • Allow/disallow screen sharing
