How to Go Back in Figma

Follow these simple steps to navigate back to your previous step in Figma. This guide will help you understand where to click and how to perform each action effectively.

  1. Undo an Action – Press Ctrl + Z (Windows) or Cmd + Z (Mac) to undo your last action.

  2. Redo an Action – Press Ctrl + Shift + Z (Windows) or Cmd + Shift + Z (Mac) to redo something you just undid.

  3. Use the Edit Menu – Click on the “Edit” option in the top menu bar, then choose “Undo” or “Redo” from the dropdown.

  4. Open Version History – Click on the file name at the top, then select “Show Version History” to view older versions of your file.

  5. Restore a Previous Version – From the version history panel on the right, select a previous version and click “Restore this version” to go back to that point in time.

  6. Use Layers Panel for Manual Fixes – If you just need to move or revert a single object, use the Layers panel to select and adjust it without undoing other actions.

  7. Done – Your file is now reverted or fixed as needed.
