Learn how to enhance your data presentation in Google Sheets by underlining text. This simple formatting option helps emphasize key information for better readability.

  1. Open your Google Sheets document and select the cell or range of cells that contain the text you want to underline.

  2. Click on the "Format" menu at the top and select "Text."

  3. In the dropdown, select "Underline." Alternatively, use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + U (Windows) or Cmd + U (Mac) to quickly underline the text.

  4. The text within the selected cell(s) will now appear with a line underneath it.

  5. To remove the underline, simply repeat the process by clicking "Format" > "Text" > "None" or using the keyboard shortcut again.

  6. You can also use the toolbar’s "U" icon to underline the selected text directly.
