How to Set Up a Zoom Meeting
Follow these steps to successfully set up a Zoom meeting for the specified date.
Open Zoom App or Website – Sign in to the Zoom Desktop App or go to zoom.us in your browser.
Click on “Schedule” – On the home screen, click the “Schedule” button (calendar icon) to create a new meeting.
Enter Meeting Details – Add:
Topic (Meeting name)
Date & Time
Duration
Time Zone
Set Meeting Options – Choose settings like:
Require Passcode
Enable Waiting Room
Video on/off for host/participants
Recurring meeting (if needed)
Choose Calendar Option – Select Google Calendar, Outlook, or Zoom’s own calendar to schedule the meeting (optional).
Click “Save” or “Schedule” – This finalizes the meeting and generates a unique Zoom Meeting Link.
Copy & Share the Invite Link – Zoom will show you the meeting link. Click “Copy Invitation” and send it to participants.
Done – Your Zoom meeting is scheduled and ready. Just start it at the planned time from the “Meetings” tab.
