How to Set Up a Zoom Meeting

Follow these steps to successfully set up a Zoom meeting for the specified date.

  1. Open Zoom App or Website – Sign in to the Zoom Desktop App or go to zoom.us in your browser.

  2. Click on “Schedule” – On the home screen, click the “Schedule” button (calendar icon) to create a new meeting.

  3. Enter Meeting Details – Add:

    • Topic (Meeting name)

    • Date & Time

    • Duration

    • Time Zone

  4. Set Meeting Options – Choose settings like:

    • Require Passcode

    • Enable Waiting Room

    • Video on/off for host/participants

    • Recurring meeting (if needed)

  5. Choose Calendar Option – Select Google Calendar, Outlook, or Zoom’s own calendar to schedule the meeting (optional).

  6. Click “Save” or “Schedule” – This finalizes the meeting and generates a unique Zoom Meeting Link.

  7. Copy & Share the Invite Link – Zoom will show you the meeting link. Click “Copy Invitation” and send it to participants.

  8. Done – Your Zoom meeting is scheduled and ready. Just start it at the planned time from the “Meetings” tab.
