How to Flip an Image in
Google Docs
Flipping an image in Google Docs can help you adjust the orientation for better placement. This demo will guide you through the simple steps to rotate or flip images either horizontally or vertically.
Open Your Google Doc – Go to docs.google.com and open the document with the image you want to flip.
Select the Image – Click on the image once to select it. A blue border with resize points will appear.
Copy the Image – Press Ctrl + C (Windows) or Cmd + C (Mac) to copy the image.
Open Drawing Tool –
Click Insert > Drawing > New
A drawing canvas will open in a new popup window
Paste the Image – Inside the drawing canvas, press Ctrl + V (or Cmd + V) to paste your image.
Flip the Image –
Click the image once
Then click Actions > Rotate > Flip horizontally (or Flip vertically as needed)
Click “Save and Close” – Once your image is flipped, click the blue “Save and Close” button to insert it back into the doc.
Done – Your flipped image is now part of your document and can be resized or moved as needed.
