Google Docs
Adjust the margins of your Google Docs document to 1 inch for a clean, standard layout. Learn how to quickly set your document's margins to meet formatting guidelines through the Page Setup menu.
Open Google Docs – Go to docs.google.com and open the document where you want to set 1-inch margins.
Go to the "File" Menu – In the top-left corner of the page, click on “File”.
Select "Page Setup" – From the dropdown, scroll down and click on “Page setup”. A new window will pop up.
Adjust the Margins –
In the Page Setup window, you’ll see options for Top, Bottom, Left, and Right margins.
Change all of them to 1 inch. If they’re not already set to 1 inch, simply type 1 in each box.
Check the "Apply to" Option – You can apply the margin settings to the entire document or just a selected section. Make sure “Whole document” is selected.
Click "OK" – After setting the margins to 1 inch, click the “OK” button to save the changes.
Verify the Margins – You’ll now see that your document has 1-inch margins on all sides. You can check the ruler at the top of the page to confirm the change.
Done – Your Google Docs document now has 1-inch margins, ready for formatting or printing.
