Easily organize and manage data within your Google Sheets by creating a drop-down list. This feature allows users to select predefined options, ensuring consistency and reducing input errors.

  1. Select the cell or range where you want the drop-down list to appear.

  2. Click Data in the top menu and choose Data validation.

  3. Under Criteria, select List of items and enter the options separated by commas (e.g., Yes, No, Maybe).

  4. Alternatively, select List from a range to pull the drop-down options from another sheet or column.

  5. Check the box for Show dropdown list in cell and click Save to apply the drop-down.

  6. Click the arrow in the cell to test the drop-down and select a value.
