Learn how to enhance your Google Sheets by using conditional formatting. This feature allows you to automatically change cell styles based on specific criteria for better data visualization.

  1. Open your Google Sheets document and select the cells you want to apply conditional formatting to.

  2. Click on the "Format" menu at the top and select "Conditional formatting" from the dropdown list.

  3. In the "Conditional format rules" sidebar, choose the condition you want to apply, such as "Format cells if..." and select a rule, e.g., "Cell is empty," "Greater than," or "Text contains."

  4. Set the parameters for the condition (e.g., the value range or text) and select the formatting style you want to apply, such as font color, background color, or text style.

  5. Click "Done" to apply the conditional formatting rule.

  6. The selected cells will automatically update based on the condition you set. To remove or edit the rule, click the "Remove rule" button or modify the settings in the sidebar.
