Easily track changes and updates in your Google Docs. Access the edit history to see previous versions and collaborator contributions.

Easily track changes and updates in your Google Docs. Access the edit history to see previous versions and collaborator contributions.

  1. Open the Google Docs document for which you want to view the edit history.

  2. Click on "File" in the menu at the top and select "Version history" from the dropdown.

  3. From the submenu, select "See version history".

  4. The right sidebar will display all versions of the document, with timestamps and the names of the editors.

  5. You can click on each version to view the document as it appeared at that time.

  6. To restore a previous version, click on the version and click "Restore this version" at the top of the screen.
