How to Use Auto Layout Figma
This guide will walk you through the steps to effectively utilize Auto Layout in Figma, ensuring your designs are responsive and maintain alignment and distribution automatically.
Select a Frame or Elements – Choose a frame or multiple elements that you want to organize with Auto Layout.
Click “+” Next to Auto Layout – In the right-hand design panel under Auto Layout, click the “+” icon.
Customize Direction and Spacing – Choose vertical or horizontal direction and set spacing between items and padding inside the frame.
Adjust Alignment – Use alignment options (top, center, bottom, etc.) to control how items are positioned inside the layout.
Nest Auto Layouts (Optional) – You can apply Auto Layout inside other Auto Layouts for more complex structures.
Done – Your design is now dynamic and will automatically adjust based on content changes.
