How to Unmask in Figma
Follow these simple steps to unmask objects in Figma. This guide provides a clear, step-by-step process to help you efficiently unmask elements within your Figma projects.
Open Your Figma File – Launch Figma and open the file that contains the masked object.
Select the Mask Group – Click on the group or layer that has the mask applied (usually labeled as “Mask” in the Layers panel).
Right-Click the Mask – Right-click on the selected mask group to open the context menu.
Click “Use as Mask” to Uncheck – If the mask is still active, you’ll see a checkmark next to “Use as Mask” — click it to uncheck and disable the mask.
Ungroup (Optional) – Press
Ctrl + Shift + G
(Windows) orCmd + Shift + G
(Mac) to ungroup the mask and its contents if you want to separate them.Done – The mask is now removed and all elements are fully visible.
