Learn how to easily apply strikethrough formatting to your text in Google Docs. This feature can help you indicate deletions or edits in your documents efficiently.

  1. Open your Google Docs document and highlight the text that you want to strikethrough.

  2. From the toolbar at the top, click on the "Format" menu.

  3. In the dropdown menu, hover over the "Text" option, and a secondary menu will appear.

  4. Select "Strikethrough" from the secondary menu.

  5. The selected text will now have a line drawn through it, indicating it has been struck through.

  6. To remove the strikethrough, repeat the process and select "Strikethrough" again, or use the keyboard shortcut Alt + Shift + 5 (Windows) or Option + Shift + 5 (Mac).
