Learn how to ensure that text remains within a single cell in Google Sheets. Use line breaks and text wrapping features for better readability and formatting.

  1. Open your Google Sheets document and navigate to the cell where you want to keep the text in a single line.

  2. Start typing the text in the cell. If the text is too long, it may overflow into adjacent cells.

  3. To prevent this, click on the cell and then go to the "Format" menu at the top.

  4. Select "Text wrapping" from the dropdown menu, and then choose "Overflow" or "Wrap". "Wrap" will ensure the text stays within the boundaries of the cell and adjusts the row height to fit the content.

  5. If you want to keep the text from spilling over into adjacent cells while keeping the size of the cell constant, select "Clip".

  6. After adjusting the wrapping settings, your text will remain confined to the selected cell, with the necessary adjustments for readability.
