How to Highlight Text in Figma
Select the Text Layer – Click on the text you want to highlight.
Create a Rectangle – Use the shape tool (press R) to draw a rectangle behind the text.
Match Rectangle to Text – Resize the rectangle to align with the text’s dimensions.
Set Highlight Color – Choose your desired highlight color from the Fill options.
Send Rectangle Backward – Right-click the rectangle and select Send to Back or use shortcut
Ctrl/Cmd + [
.Group Both Elements – Select both the text and rectangle, then press Ctrl/Cmd + G to group them.
Done – Your text is now highlighted with a custom color in Figma.
