Learn how to keep important information visible while scrolling through your data in Google Sheets. Freezing a row allows you to maintain context as you work with larger datasets.

  1. Open Google Sheets and locate the row that you want to keep visible while scrolling.

  2. Click on the row number to select the entire row.

  3. Go to the "View" menu at the top and hover over "Freeze."

  4. Select "1 row" if you want to freeze the first row or choose "Up to row X" (where X is your selected row number) for multiple rows.

  5. The frozen row will now stay visible at the top while scrolling through the sheet.

  6. To unfreeze, go back to "View" > "Freeze" and select "No rows."
