  1. Open Google Forms – Go to Google Forms and open an existing form or create a new one.

  2. Add a Question – Click the “+” button to insert a new question.

  3. Choose “Multiple-choice grid” or “Checkbox grid”

    • Select “Multiple-choice grid” for a ranked-choice format.

    • Select “Checkbox grid” if users can select multiple options per row.

  4. Enter Options and Criteria

    • List ranking items as rows.

    • Add ranking numbers (1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc.) as columns.

  5. Enable Required Row Selection (Optional) – Click the three-dot menu (︙) and check “Require a response in each row” to ensure users rank all items.

  6. Adjust Settings

    • Go to the “Settings” tab.

    • Enable “Collect email addresses” (optional) if tracking is needed.

  7. Save and Share – Click “Send” to distribute the form via email, link, or embed it on a website.
