  1. Open Google Forms – Go to Google Forms and create a new form or open an existing one.

  2. Add a Question – Click the “+” button to add a new question.

  3. Select “Multiple-choice Grid” or “Dropdown”

    • Choose “Multiple-choice Grid” for matching column options.

    • Alternatively, use the “Dropdown” question type for a single-selection matching format.

  4. Enter Matching Pairs

    • In Row options, list the items that need to be matched.

    • In Column options, provide possible answers for selection.

  5. Enable Required Responses (Optional) – Click the three-dot menu ⋮ and select “Require a response per row” to ensure all matches are completed.

  6. Customize Answer Key (For Quizzes)

    • Click “Answer key” and select the correct matches if using Quiz mode.

    • Assign points for correct answers.

  7. Test Your Form – Preview the form to check if the matching section works as expected.

  8. Share Your Form – Click “Send” to share via email, link, or embed it on a website.
