How to Change Slack Channel Name

Easily update your Slack channel name with these simple steps. Keep your workspace organized and relevant by renaming channels as needed.

1. Navigate to the channel whose name you want to change.

2. Click on the channel name at the top of the screen to open the channel details page.

3. Click on the “Edit Channel” button or the pencil icon next to the channel name.

4. In the “Channel Name” field, type the new name for the channel.

5. After entering the new name, click “Save Changes” to update the channel name.

6. The new name will now appear in the channel list and on the channel header for all members.
