How to Raise Hand in Zoom
Follow these steps to raise your hand during a Zoom meeting. This feature is useful when you have a question or want to draw the attention of the meeting host without interrupting the speaker.
Join or Start a Zoom Meeting – Open the Zoom app or browser and join the meeting where you want to raise your hand.
Look for the Reactions Button (Desktop) – On the bottom toolbar, click on “Reactions” (it has a smiley face icon).
Click “Raise Hand” – In the popup that appears, click on the “Raise Hand” option. A hand icon will appear next to your name.
On Mobile (Android/iOS) – Tap the “More” (three dots) button at the bottom-right corner of your screen.
Tap “Raise Hand” – From the menu that appears, tap “Raise Hand” to notify the host.
Host Sees Notification – The meeting host and other participants will see a raised hand icon next to your name in the participant list.
Lower Your Hand (Optional) – To lower your hand, click “Reactions” again and select “Lower Hand” (or tap again on mobile).
Done – You’ve successfully raised your hand. Use it for asking questions, giving input, or grabbing attention during discussions.
