How to Message Someone
on LinkedIn

Search for the person you want to message by typing their name in the LinkedIn search bar and clicking on their profile.

If they are a connection, you will see a “Message” button on their profile—click it to open a chat window.

If they are not a connection, you may need to send a connection request first before messaging them.

LinkedIn Premium users can send InMail messages to people outside their network without needing to connect.

Type your message in the chat box, ensuring it's professional and concise, then click “Send.”

You can also attach files, add emojis, or use LinkedIn’s AI-generated message suggestions to improve your communication.
