Open your Google Slides presentation.

Click on the image or shape you want to make transparent.

Select "Format Options" from the toolbar.

In the right panel, expand the "Adjustments" section.

Use the "Transparency" slider to adjust the background transparency.

Move the slider until you reach the desired transparency level.

Close the panel to apply the changes.
