Open your Google Slides presentation.

Select the slide you want to lock.

Click File > Download > PNG or JPEG to save the slide as an image.

Insert the downloaded image onto a new blank slide.

Resize the image to fit the slide completely.

Lock editing by avoiding text boxes or elements over the image.

To edit, remove the image and make changes to the original slide.
