  1. Open your Google Docs document and place the cursor where you want to insert the chart.

  2. Click on the "Insert" menu and select "Chart".

  3. Choose from the available chart types: "Bar", "Column", "Line", or "Pie".

  4. Google Docs will insert a default chart into the document. To edit it, click on the chart, then click the "Link to Spreadsheet" option.

  5. In the linked Google Sheets file, you can update the data, and the chart in Google Docs will automatically update.
