Follow these steps to close a Google Form and prevent further responses once you’ve gathered enough data.

  1. Open Google Forms – Go to Google Forms and select your form.

  2. Go to the "Responses" Tab – Click on the “Responses” tab at the top.

  3. Turn Off Response Collection – Toggle off the “Accepting responses” switch to stop collecting new responses.

  4. Customize the Closed Message (Optional) – Click “Edit” below the toggle to enter a custom message for users who try to access the form.

  5. Remove the Shareable Link (Optional) – Delete or disable access to the form link to prevent further submissions.

  6. Restrict Access via Google Drive (Optional) – Right-click on the form in Google Drive, select “Share”, and adjust permissions to limit access.

  7. Unlink Google Sheets (Optional) – If linked to a Google Sheet, open it, click “Form” → “Unlink form” to stop recording responses.
